Reinstalling the game does also help but again, taking missions will trigger this issue again. I've not had any problems playing on a separate ps4 on the same network with the same network settings. My friend is also trying to play on ps4. It's been two days of random disconnections, while supercruising PS4 - Frequent Drop outs. I've been playing Elite pretty much daily for the last couple of week, gotten back into it after a slow start. Every time I play it - I get dropped out the game with the message "cannot connect to matchmaking servers".

I'm playing solo at the moment, so unsure why matchmaking servers are relevant, either its a red herring and its something else, I know I need to be online, but I dont need to matchmake. There is no real consistency as to how and when this happens, supercruis, hyper jump, station approach, station landing, visiting station services. I played for a good few hours yesterday and honestly lost count of the number of imtes this happened.
Its frustrating, especially when on a long supercruis to drop out with "matchmaking" errors and have to begin that long cruise again. I dont have this issue with anything else, other games work fine, no connection problems, destiny, FIFA, Project cars etc.

Some players may be experiencing errors with matchmaking on BR. Requeue and you should be able to find a match. Last edited by XJDonline ; , For my part the service is still not resolved, When I launch a part an error message: That said, it may also be because the client for some reason wants to occupy very less bandwidth, although it shouldn't, thereby giving you the error.
I may be wrong. I don't understand what you mean by CMD, could you clarify for me. Or is there a command line for Steam itself?
D Glad it worked! I can add it to this post and hope the mods sticky it. This did not work for me, but going and changing users, even if it was the same account, worked. If thats off the table, then try shutting down any background apps that may be occupying your bandwidth.

Testing the mm connection right now, will let you know if it works. Dude just restart your steam with run as administrator because I just did that and CSGO is working perfectly fine Closing and reopening steam as admin seems to have fixed the issue for me it's at least letting me queue now.

I've been receiving this error a lot recently. I'm not exactly sure what is causing it since nothing on my network has changed. To resolve the issue I just run Steam in "admin mode".
